Thirty years ago (this month!), Thomas Nelson Publishers released my first book, The Bible Study Resource Guide. The book has gone through four editions and a title change (it’s now called Swords and Whetstones), but God is still using it to touch people’s lives.
Just today, I talked with the bookstore manager at Carver Bible College in Kansas City, who wanted to order a fresh supply for their introductory Bible course. I know some other colleges that have used it as well. It’s amazing–and humbling–to realize how God can use the written word to touch people we’ll never meet. It’s like casting bread upon the waters, the Lord said. Who knows where it will wash ashore?

Congratulations, Joe! It’s as attractive book, also. How impressive that colleges use it as a text or supplemental resource. Knowing how thorough is your research, I’m certain it’s an excellent guide. Write on!
